You never know how much a smile and a kind word to a stranger whom you pass on a sidewalk or see in a grocery store might impact his/her day…especially if that person is in despair. 🙂 You just never know.
This is true. We pray that the person who encounters despair also encounters Christ and is able to lay his or her burdens at his feet. Do you know someone in need of prayer? I met a woman today at a shoe store who was sorrowful because her niece, at the age of 25, had just been diagnosed with a brain tumor. I comforted her and told her I would pray for her niece.
